PM Alexis Tsipras will travel to Riga to attend the EU summit meeting aboard a Lockheed C-130 Hercules, a four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft used as a tactical airlifter for many military forces worldwide.
Tsipras will leave Elefsina (Eleusis) Air Force Base on Thursday morning for his highly anticipated trip to the Latvian capital.
According to real.gr Greece has not received spare parts as a result there is delay in repair of special aircrafts used by the Greek government for official travel and diplomatic business. The grounded airplanes of the government's fleet include two Embraer jets and a Gulfstream jet, real.gr informed.
