"Greece under Kyriakos Mitsotakis does not restrict itself to the passive role of a spectator in the face of developments" stated Yiannis Economou, opening his briefing to the press.
"With constant diplomatic actions, with international initiatives and armed with the country's upgraded position on the international scene, as well as the international prestige of the prime minister, who plays a key role in developments for the resolution of international issues, Greece show resilience and protects the Greeks," stated government spokesperson Yiannis Economou.
Economou referred to Mitsotakis' diplomatic activity in the last few days, such as his meeting with US Vice President Kamala Harris.
He said that the Greek-US relations were at a better level than ever before, adding that Mitsotakis briefed Harris on the energy projects that Greece is promoting in the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as the risk of destabilisation due escalating Turkish provocativeness.
On the crisis in Ukraine, Mitsotakis said that Greece was in total alignment with its allies but also supports the open channels of communication with Russia, Economou added.
He also noted that Greece was a world champion in investments, adding that the number of new enterprises increased by 110,000 the previous year.
