Twenty-seven fires across Greece in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours twenty-seven fires broke out forestlands and fields in Greece, the Fire Department said on Friday.

Twenty-six of these fires were promptly extinguished, while firefighting forces are still tackling one remaining blaze.

Local investigative offices and the Fire Crimes Management Directorate are investigating the causes of the fires.

The Fire Department urges citizens to be extremely cautious and follow instructions by authorities.
