A new cultural landmark will be inaugurated Saturday by the Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni, and the Regional Governor of the South Aegean, George Hatzimarkos.

The museum showcases a rich collection of artifacts, spanning from the Late Bronze Age to the Post-Byzantine years.

Visitors can explore five exhibition halls, each dedicated to a different period in the island's history. Among the exhibits are ceramic cups, ancient vessels, inscriptions, grave goods, coins, architectural elements, and religious artifacts.

The museum's creation is a testament to the collective efforts of various institutions and services, including the Ephorate of Antiquities of the Dodecanese, the Municipality of Tilos, and the South Aegean Region.

The project was funded through the ESPA program "South Aegean 2014-2020," with a total budget of 2,565,730.95 euros.

The Tilos Archaeological Museum is expected to become a significant cultural attraction, providing visitors with insights into the island's rich history and heritage.
