Greece's National Meteorological Service (EMY) issued an emergency weather alert, warning of heavy rain and thunderstorms expected to hit central and northern regions starting Wednesday afternoon.
Heavy air masses moving in from the northwestern Balkans are forecast to bring a significant deterioration in weather conditions, with heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, frequent lightning, and localized hailstorms anticipated from Wednesday afternoon through late Thursday afternoon.

- Thrace
- Eastern parts of Central Macedonia
- Thursday, July 4th:
- Eastern Macedonia
- Thrace
- Parts of Central Macedonia (mainly Chalkidiki)
- Thessaly (mainly western parts) and Sporades islands
- Eastern Sterea (including Attica), northeastern Peloponnese, and Evia
