Public administration staff who have problems going to work and are not in frontline services will be able to work remotely on Friday as well, the Interior Ministry said on Thursday.
As local governments struggled to clear away the snow dumped early this week by a storm, cars remained buried in snow and public transportation was forced to be withdrawn earlier on Wednesday over icy roads. Tuesday and Wednesday were declared public holidays to help authorities clear roads and address damages, while both the public and private sector were encouraged to work from home wherever possible.
The ministry said that allowances should be made for delayed arrival at work by those working in the physical premises of their jobs, or if conditions are not safe for travel.
