A recent poll conducted by Action24 sheds light on public opinion surrounding the candidacy of Kostas Tasoulas for the Presidency of the Republic.
The survey focused on two key areas: the reception of the three declared presidential candidates and the public perception of Mr. Tasoulas, who is expected to succeed Katerina Sakellaropoulou in the role.
Mr. Tasoulas leads the pack with 47.8% of respondents expressing a positive view of his candidacy, compared to 47.2% holding a negative opinion. This marginally favorable balance makes his bid the most positively received among the three candidates.
The survey also noted that all three candidates enjoy levels of support higher than the electoral strength of the parties that nominated them, whether measured by parliamentary or European election results.

For Mr. Tasoulas, support is especially strong within right-leaning constituencies, where he enjoys 70.6% approval among conservatives, 68.9% among center-right voters, and 46.7% in centrist circles.
The poll also highlights public confidence in Mr. Tasoulas’s ability to fulfill the institutional demands of the presidency.

Regarding his ability to unify and foster collaboration, 45.4% of respondents see Mr. Tasoulas as a figure capable of bringing people together, though 50.1% hold the opposite view. The highest approval for this trait is again found among conservatives (67.3%), the center-right (62.3%), and centrists (48.3%).
When it comes to representing Greece on the international stage, 54% believe Mr. Tasoulas would perform this role effectively, while 41.3% disagree.
