Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke on Thursday afternoon at an event of the Region of Attica for the redevelopment of Falirikos Ormos.
Mitsotakis described the redevelopment as Attica's great window to the sea with recreational and cultural areas, swimming pools, sports fields and modern infrastructure that could host many different activities.
He said it is another unique destination as the Stavros Niarchos (SNFCC) multifactional center . He referred to the coastal promenade of Attica which he said aspires to connect Piraeus with Voula and Sounion.
Mitsotakis also referred to the disasters caused by severe weather phenomena such as Daniel and the recent storms in Spain, which he said would happen more and more often. He stressed that the specific modern infrastructure is adapted to the demands of the times, such as drainage networks and green pockets, which can change the microclimate of the region.
Mitsotakis noted that the Falirikos Ormos project, which has European funding, also bears his own personal stamp, as he revealed that he was actively involved in its unblocking at the European level, which was not easy, he added.
