Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, at the informal EU leaders meeting, reportedly stressed that cooperation with the US is necessary to address major common challenges.
He stressed that it is in the EU's interest to cooperate with the US and this is a message that Europe must send to the new US administration. Kyriakos Mitsotakis also pointed out the need for the EU to show a united stance focusing on common interests with the US.
He added that the EU must strengthen its role as a global player and enhance its defence capabilities. He also underlined that its collective strength is much greater than that of any individual member state.
