Pavlos de Grece has confirmed that military service is expected for all male members of his family, addressing reports that his brother, Philippos, is preparing to enlist in the Greek military.

In a video aired on the television program "To Proino," Mr. de Grece, the son of the late former King Constantine, stated that military service is a traditional expectation within the family.

"This is part of the plan, and gradually we will all complete the service required," he said.

While Mr. de Grece acknowledged seeing media reports about Philippos, he said he did not have specific details.

"I don’t personally know about Philippos, but if you do, I assume it must be true. I don’t know how long his service will be, and I don’t want to comment on something that concerns my brother," he added.

The remarks follow previous reports in February that Konstantinos-Alexios, the eldest son of Pavlos de Grece and Marie-Chantal, would also serve in the Greek military.

At that time, Mr. de Grece had stated, "This will happen at some point, as it does for every Greek," emphasizing the tradition of military service in Greece.

The comments provide further insight into the family's adherence to national obligations, even after the abolition of the Greek monarchy.
