Pasok lashes out at Mitsotakis «Inadequate» Response to Attica Fire

The Socialist Pasok party has sharply criticized Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis for expressing satisfaction with the government's handling of the recent devastating fire in northeastern Attica.

The fire, which ravaged areas from Varnava to Chalandri, has drawn heavy criticism.

In a statement, Pasok billed Mr. Mitsotakis' comments as "inadequate, arrogant, and out of touch."

The party said his positive assessment of the response was unjustified given the scale of the disaster and the ongoing impact on affected communities.
