Nikos Dendias: Borrell to present 'options' paper' on Turkey at EU Foreign Affairs Council

Josep Borel's "options' paper" on the imposition of sanctions on Turkey over Varosha will be discussed at the EU Foreign Affairs Council, Nikos Dendias said.

Dendias also underlined that "in the Council we will discuss the 'options' paper' that Josep Borrell will present today to discuss the imposition of sanctions on Turkey for its deliquent behaviour in Varosha, namely the fact that it ignores the international law and the UN Safety Council decisions. We will also discuss the issue of Belarus and how authoritarian regimes on the borders with EU instrumentalise the migration issue to press the EU ignoring the rule of law."
