Nikos Androulakis, the re-elected leader of Pasok, is set to announce key changes within the party and its parliamentary arrangement tomorrow.
The announcements are expected in the morning, followed by a celebratory meeting at Pasok’s headquarters on Charilaou Trikoupi Street.
As reported by iefimerida.gr, Mr. Androulakis has already reached out to key party figures. On Saturday, he contacted Anna Diamantopoulou, and on Sunday, he spoke with Pavlos Geroulanos.
Today, he is expected to communicate with Haris Doukas, whom he met at a wedding in Thebes on Saturday and at the memorial service for former Pasok leader Fofi Gennimata on Sunday.
According to reliable sources, Androulakis plans to engage his former leadership challengers and newer members, while creating a new political body called the "Political Centre."
Pavlos Geroulanos is expected to take on the role of chief parliamentary representative, while the portfolio for Economic Affairs, which he previously held, will be reassigned to another Pasok member. Dimitris Mantzos will remain in his position as parliamentary spokesperson. Corfu MP Dimitris Biagis is expected to replace Evi Liakouli as Secretary of Pasok's parliamentary group, with Ioannina MP Giannis Tsimaris likely taking the role of deputy secretary.
Anna Diamantopoulou is set to lead the party’s Strategic Planning efforts. Alongside Haris Doukas, Pavlos Geroulanos, Pavlos Christidis, and other key figures, she will participate in the 11-member Political Centre, which will handle medium- and long-term planning, holding regular meetings. Younger party members who supported Androulakis, such as Lefteris Karkimakis, Olga Markogiannaki, and Kostas Tsoukalas, are also expected to take on prominent roles.
Kostas Tsoukalas, a labor law expert and close associate of Androulakis, is expected to become the party’s new spokesperson, replacing Thanasis Glavinas.
The communications team will be strengthened, with Stefania Mourelatou continuing in her role and Vangelis Tsongas joining.
The party’s leadership will enhance its daily strategy sessions by including representatives from the communications team, the Secretary of the parliamentary group, and the parliamentary spokespersons, as well as the new media spokesperson.
Further changes in the party’s internal structure are expected, focusing on creating strong counterparts to government ministers.
Pasok’s shadow ministers will engage directly with government officials to bolster the party’s role in governance. Key figures such as Michalis Katrinis, Nadia Giannakopoulou, Dimitris Mantzos, Panagiotis Doudonis, and Milena Apostolaki are expected to take on distinct portfolios in this effort.
