Minister of Labour and Social Security Niki Kerameus met on Tuesday with the outgoing US Ambassador to Greece George Tsunis.
In a post on her social media, she reviewed their cooperation at the Ministries of Education, Interior, and Labor, stressing that it was excellent.
Specifically, Kerameus spoke about her cooperation with Tsunis at the Ministry of Education, highlighting efforts to strengthen vocational education and training, as well as initiatives to encourage young girls to engage in science through joint programs. At the Ministry of Interior, she referred to the campaign targeting Greeks living in the US to promote postal voting.
At the Ministry of Labour, she emphasized initiatives aimed at facilitating employment for foreign investors in Greece.
"There is, however, one cooperation that I particularly stand out from all these years, and that was the PHAROS SUMMIT, the event we jointly organized for the coming of 30 top American universities to our country in November 2022 (Yale, Columbia, Harvard, Tufts, Princeton, etc.), which led to dozens of new partnerships between our excellent public universities and top American universities," Kerameus said and added that "this extremely difficult mission could not have been accomplished without the close and constructive cooperation with the US Embassy in Greece, which I thank warmly."
"Our cooperation with the US Embassy in Greece will continue dynamically and in new areas," Kerameus stressed.
