Two new nationwide polls conducted by Marc and Opinion Poll for ANT1 and Action 24, respectively, confirm New Democracy's dominant position just days before the presidential election.
The surveys reveal a rise in support for the governing party, which surpasses 30% in vote estimation, while Pasok appears to be losing momentum following the leadership of Nikos Androulakis.
According to the Marc poll, New Democracy leads Pasok by a significant 13.4 percentage points. Specifically, New Democracy garners 31.4% in the vote estimation, compared to Pasok's 18%. Syriza shows signs of recovery, securing third place with 8.5%, narrowly ahead of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), which records 8.2%.
In the Marc poll's vote intention segment, New Democracy maintains a 13.2-point advantage, with 28.6%, compared to Pasok's 15.4%.
Syriza follows with 7.3%, while the KKE is close behind with 7%.
The Opinion Poll survey underscores public demand for political stability, with 80% of respondents expressing this preference.
Additionally, there is widespread support for electing the President of the Republic through broad consensus.
Syriza's resurgence is attributed to the recent election of Sokratis Famellos as its leader on December 1. Mr. Famellos's leadership appears to have revitalized the party after a period of stagnation.
Meanwhile, Pasok, under Mr. Androulakis, has seen a decline in the momentum gained from its earlier leadership transition.
