In the latest public opinion poll by Metron Analysis, the ruling New Democracy (ND) party shows a commanding lead of 15.3 percentage points over the leftist Syriza.
The poll, which was featured on Mega televisio, records a clear preference among voters, with ND securing 25.4 percent of the intended vote compared to 12,9 percent for Syriza. The socialist PASOK trails in third with 10.5 percent, followed by the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) at 6.4 percent, and the Solution party at 6 percent.
With the European elections looming, the undecided vote stands at 11.2 percent. However, ND’s projected vote share shows a slight decrease to 31 percent, a 1.3 point drop, while Syriza notes marginal gain, rising to 15.7 percent. PASOK maintains its third-place standing with 12.9 percent, despite significant losses for KKE and the Greek Solution party.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis remains the favoured candidate for the premiership, leading by 29 points with 36 percent support, compared to Stefanos Kasselakis’ 7 percent. Mr.Mitsotakis also tops the popularity charts with 40 percent positive ratings, followed closely by Dimitris Koutsoumbas at 37 percent, and Zoi Konstantopoulou in third.
Andreas Loverdos ranks above Nikos Androulakis, with Stefanos Kasselakis positioned behind the PASOK leader.
