A recent survey by Opinion Poll confirms New Democracy’s (ND) dominant position in Greek politics, while Pasok solidifies its standing as the second-largest party.
Meanwhile, Syriza’ss support has dropped further, registering in single digits.
According to the poll, which was presented on Action24's main news broadcast, New Democracy leads with 27.1% of valid voter intentions, followed by Pasok with 14%. Syriza has fallen to fifth place, with just 7.1% support.
In third and fourth places are the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) with 8.1% and Greek Solution at 7.2%.
Other parties polling above the threshold include Voice of Reason with 3.5%, Course of Freedom with 3.3%, and Victory (Niki) at 3.1%. MeRA25 stands at 2.2%, while New Left trails behind with 1.9%. An additional 3.3% of respondents favored other parties, while undecided voters, abstentions, and blank or invalid votes comprise a significant 22.4% of responses.
The poll, conducted between September 24 and 28 with a sample of 1,502 households, took place during key political events: Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ address at the United Nations, the Pasok leadership candidates’ debate, and the official candidacies for Syriza’s leadership, announced by Sokratis Famellos and Pavlos Polakis.
As Pasok’s leadership race approaches its conclusion, the poll shows the following popularity ratings: Pavlos Geroulanos leads with 46.8%, followed by Nikos Androulakis with 45.5%, Anna Diamantopoulou at 44%, and Charis Doukas at 42.1%. Nina Giannakopoulou (32.2%) and Michalis Katrinis (28.5%) are also in the running.
