Greece’s ruling New Democracy (ND) party holds a significant lead over its rivals, according to a new poll.
The Metron Analysis poll shows ND with 28.8% of the estimated vote share, compared to 14.6% for Pasok-Kinal, its main rival.
The poll also shows a surge in support for the far-right Plefsi Eleftherias (Course of Freedom) party, which nearly doubled its share since January to 8.9%.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis remains the most preferred candidate for the role, with 29% of respondents naming him as the most suitable. However, 36% responded "None" when asked about their preferred prime minister.
The poll also reflects widespread dissatisfaction with the government’s performance, with 68% of respondents expressing negative views.
