Art lovers have a lot to look forward to in 2025 at the National Gallery in Athens! The museum has just announced a program packed with exciting exhibitions, including works by renowned Spanish artist Francisco Goya and a celebration of Greek painter Panagiotis Tetsis.

Goya's etchings and watercolors will be a major draw for visitors, showcasing the artist's incredible skill and powerful imagery. Another highlight will be a retrospective exhibition marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of Panagiotis Tetsis, a prominent figure in Greek art.

For those interested in Russian art, the National Gallery will also display works from the collection of Georgios Kostakis, offering a fascinating glimpse into the Russian avant-garde movement.

But that's not all! The museum will also unveil a brand new presentation of its permanent collection on the third floor, giving visitors a fresh perspective on its impressive holdings.

And in exciting news, the Arp Museum in Germany has donated 21 plaster casts by Hans Arp to the National Gallery. Culture Minister Lina Mendoni praised the donation, emphasizing the international recognition of the gallery.

With such a diverse and engaging program, the National Gallery in Athens is set to be a major cultural destination in 2025.
