Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will lead a Cabinet meeting on Monday at the Maximos Mansion to discuss critical legislative proposals and fiscal plans for 2025.
Central to the agenda is the presentation of the draft State Budget, which outlines Greece's economic objectives and evaluates the financial results for 2023. This underscores the government’s focus on financial responsibility and strategic planning.
The meeting will also address infrastructure reforms, including a proposal to restructure the country’s railway sector. Legislation aimed at improving gender representation in executive positions within listed companies will also be presented, reflecting efforts to align Greece with European Union directives.
In maritime affairs, initiatives to strengthen oversight and modernize the Ministry of Shipping’s structures will be reviewed.
Additional reform proposals in the energy and agriculture sectors aim to address national priorities and drive sustainable development.
Ahead of the Cabinet meeting, Mr. Mitsotakis is scheduled to meet Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at the Maximos Mansion. The discussion is expected to highlight the long-standing collaboration between the Greek state and the Orthodox Church.
