Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met at the United Nations headquarters on Tuesday to further strengthen the positive momentum in Greek-Turkish relations.
The meeting, the sixth between the two leaders since the summer of 2023, aimed to solidify the progress made in recent months.
While the meeting did not delve into the most complex issues, such as maritime zone delimitation, it focused on areas of shared interest, including migration and regional stability.
Both leaders are expected to set a roadmap for the next round of Confidence-Building Measures (CBMs) and discuss the possibility of restarting negotiations on the Cyprus issue.
The meeting marks a significant step toward a more cooperative and stable relationship between Greece and Turkey, as both countries seek to maintain stability and strengthen cooperation in an increasingly volatile regional environment.
