New Democracy MEP Fredi Beleri participated in his first European Parliament committee session as a newly independent MEP on Monday.
Beleri, a member of the Regional Development Committee, highlighted in a social media post that Commissioner for Regional Policy Elisa Ferreira also attended. He emphasized that all participants agreed on the need for a cohesive, strong and multi-level European Cohesion Policy for the future.
“Yesterday, I participated, as a free MEP, in the REGI Committee exchange of views with Vasco Cordeiro, President of the Committee of the Regions and Commissioner Elisa Ferreira. We all agreed on the need of a coherent, strong and comprehensive EU Cohesion policy in the future,” said Beleri.
Additionally, Beleri has been appointed vice chair of the European Parliament Committee on Petitions.
