A major road infrastructure project is underway in Skaramagas, west of Athens, aimed at alleviating traffic congestion and improving connectivity for industrial areas.
The €70 million Triple Skaramagas Interchange project will upgrade a 7.4-kilometer stretch of road, linking key highways and creating new interchanges.
The project, expected to be completed by 2029, will provide alternative routes to Piraeus and the southwestern suburbs, easing pressure on Kifisou Avenue and the Athens-Corinth National Highway. Deputy Minister of Transport Despoina Paliarouta announced that the tender process is expected to launch by April 2025.
This upgrade is expected to significantly enhance transportation efficiency in the region, supporting industrial activities and attracting further business development.
