Chania is getting ready to host the anticipated wedding celebration of Stefanos Kasselakis, the President of Syriza and his husband Tyler Macbeth.
The festivities will span four days starting on Wednesday and ending on Saturday, August 31st promising an unforgettable experience, for the couple and their chosen guests.
The celebrations will kick off with gatherings at a local event venue, a known restaurant in Chanias historic port area and a popular bar in the old town.
The day the couple and their guests will head to a beach bar on the northern coast for some private time away from media scrutiny.
The highlight of the wedding festivities is set for Friday August 30th at the Botanical Park of Chania.
The main event will take place at the parks open air amphitheater followed by a dinner featuring Cretan cuisine. Guests will enjoy homemade herbal lemonade and a special cocktail made with gin.
To maintain privacy strict security measures are in place. In addition, to their 25 person security team there will be a police presence. Cutting edge anti drone technology will be used to prevent recordings while all attendees and staff must surrender their phones to uphold confidentiality.
