The southwest Peloponnese region of Messenia has become a Hollywood hotspot as Christopher Nolan's "Odyssey" continues filming, drawing a star-studded cast to the area.
Matt Damon, among other actors, has captured local attention, with residents sharing stories of the stars' approachable nature.
Damon and colleagues, including Tom Holland and Anthony Molinari, dined at a local restaurant alongside Nolan, expressing keen interest in local products like olives and olive oil.
The restaurant owner, speaking on Mega Channel’s TV show “Pame Danai,” said Damon was particularly intrigued by fava (yellow split pea puree) and enjoyed grilled octopus.He also sampled cumin-seasoned lamb, while the group shared various traditional Greek dishes.
"They are very simple and genuinely interested in local products," the owner said, describing Damon's enthusiasm for the local cuisine.
