Greek tourism is set to smash last year's record numbers, with current data on revenue, arrivals, and bookings already indicating a thriving industry.

With the peak season, traditionally falling in August, officials anticipate further growth and a potentially record-breaking year for Greek tourism.

In 2023, tourism revenue reached an impressive €20.5 billion, according to figures from the Bank of Greece.

The first five months of 2024 have seen a significant increase in revenue, up 16.2 percent to €3.8 billion, and arrivals have also surged by 20.6 percent over the same period.

Increased passenger traffic at all commercial airports across the country further confirms Greece's popularity as a top tourist destination. This surge in visitors is expected to continue, especially as the peak summer season approaches, promising a prosperous future for the Greek tourism sector.
