Nikolas de Graece and Chryssi Vardinogianni met with Archbishop Ieronymos II of Athens and All Greece ahead of their wedding.
The couple visited the Archdiocese of Athens to obtain their marriage license and receive the archbishop’s blessing. They exchanged gifts and spoke briefly before leaving.
Ms.Vardinogianni, wearing a white blouse and black skirt, remained reserved. De Graece, in a navy suit, told reporters he wasn't nervous.
Their wedding is Feb. 7 at Agios Nikolaos Ragkavas church in Plaka.
The private ceremony will include European royals, including Spain’s Queen Sofía, Princess Irene, and Infanta Cristina.
Ms. Vardinogianni's gown is by Greek designer Christos Costarellos.
The couple recently visited Copenhagen for Vardinogianni to meet de Graece’s maternal relatives.
They will have four best men, including de Graece’s brother, Pavlos, and Ms. Vardinogianni’s cousin, George B. Vardinogiannis.
