The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a strong condemnation of the Russian missile attacks on several Ukrainian cities that occurred on Monday.

"Greece strongly condemns today’s missile attacks by Russia in several Ukrainian cities, especially on Kyiv’s Okhmatdyt children’s hospital.

The attacks, which resulted in numerous dead and wounded civilians, constitute another grave violation of international humanitarian law," the statement read.

"Greece will continue to support Ukraine and stand by its people," it said.

The Russian missile assault on Monday morning resulted in at least 36 deaths and over 150 injuries across Ukraine. According to Ukrainian authorities, one of the missiles struck Kyiv’s Okhmatdyt children’s hospital, prompting President Zelensky to call for an emergency UN Security Council meeting.

Moscow has denied targeting the children’s hospital, claiming instead that it was hit by a Ukrainian air defense missile.
