Greek long-jump sensation Miltiadis Tentoglou has been recognized for his outstanding achievements in 2024 by being nominated for the Men's Field Athlete of the Year award. The World Athletics Federation announced the nominees, which also include four other exceptional athletes.
Tentoglou, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, will compete against Ryan Crouser (USA), the world record holder in shot put; Jordan Alejandro Díaz Fortún (ESP), the Olympic gold medalist in triple jump and world-leading mark holder; Armand 'Mondo' Duplantis (SWE), the world record holder in pole vault; and Ethan Katzberg (CAN), the world champion in hammer throw and Olympic gold medalist.
Tentoglou's impressive performances throughout the year, including winning Olympic gold and setting the world lead in long jump, have solidified his place among the top field athletes in the world.
The public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite athlete through social media until October 20th. Their votes will contribute 25% to the final decision.
