The Greek Ministry of Culture has announced the selected artistic proposals for the 2025 edition of "All of Greece, One Culture," a program that will bring performances, exhibitions, and events to archaeological sites and museums across the country.
This year's theme, inspired by poet Andreas Embirikos, is "The Reception of the Past – The Present as Tomorrow and as Yesterday," continuing the program's mission to foster dialogue between cultural heritage and contemporary art.
Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni highlighted the program's unique connection between archaeological sites and artistic creation, emphasizing the exploration of time's impact on the past, present, and future. She also noted the program's role in creating employment opportunities for cultural workers and local professionals.
Following a rigorous selection by an evaluation committee, 70 productions were chosen from various artistic disciplines, with a total budget of €1.8 million. The committee reviewed submissions over five sessions in March.
The "All of Greece, One Culture 2025" program aims to decentralize cultural offerings by bringing high-quality artistic productions to historical sites outside the Attica region. Minister Mendoni thanked Greek National Opera Artistic Director Giorgos Koumendakis and the ministry's team for their work.
The selected productions will be announced soon, with performances scheduled throughout the summer of 2025.
