A picturesque area between Athens and Thessaloniki, Pelion boasts a rich tapestry of landscapes, from its Aegean coastline to its myth-enshrouded hills, once believed to be the abode of Centaurs.
The region is dotted with traditional Greek villages like Makrinitsa, Portaria, Milies, and Tsagarada, known for their stone-roofed houses.
The area’s coastline features a maze-like trail connecting its two segments, leading to secluded beaches such as Fakistra and Chorefto.
Travel Local experts havealso lauded Pelion as a premier vacation spot, with Huw from the company citing its tranquility and surrounding of breathtaking mountain scenery.
He adds, “Visiting Greece in October is perfect as it’s post-peak season, offering fewer crowds and better value. The weather remains warm, ideal for immersing in the authentic Greek experience.”
