The Greek Ministry of Culture is partnering with the National Confederation of Disabled People to launch the "EUMAIOS" project, a major initiative focused on improving accessibility to cultural sites for people with disabilities.

Funded by the Ministry through the Recovery and Resilience Fund, the project will assess various cultural spaces, including archaeological sites, museums, and historical buildings.

It will also create a digital information portal with real-time accessibility details for visitors with reduced mobility.

Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni emphasized the initiative's importance, stating that ensuring equal access to cultural heritage is a matter of social justice and a constitutional obligation.

The project underscores Greece's commitment to removing barriers for people with disabilities, ensuring everyone can enjoy the country's cultural treasures.
