A heatwave gripping Greece is expected to continue for several more days, with temperatures remaining high until the end of the month, according to meteorologists.
The Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY) has issued an emergency bulletin warning of continued high temperatures across most of the country, with nighttime lows not expected to fall below 30°C in urban areas.
Inland areas will experience the highest temperatures, reaching up to 43°C, while island regions will see slightly cooler conditions. Isolated thunderstorms are forecast in northern areas from Friday afternoon.
Meteorologist Sakis Arnaoutoglou confirms that the heatwave will persist, with daily temperatures exceeding 40°C in most areas throughout the week.
