The Ukrainian issue, the wider geopolitical turmoil, but also the impact on energy and the economy, were the main topics of the interview of George Gerapetritis.
"Any action that tends toward the formation of a new geopolitical state of affairs within a framework of international law, which prohibits any change of borders, constitutes a significant threat to global security, especially when it comes from an extremely powerful country, such as Russia," State Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis said in an interview with 'Parapolitika' radio on Tuesday.
"Greece stands alongside the allied forces; we will stand with our allies in the European Union and the Atlantic Alliance. It has already been stated that there will be corresponding sanctions against Russia for this action, which obviously has a destabilising character," he stressed, while adding: "It is crucial that the channels of diplomatic communication from our country to Russia also remain open. It is equally certain that no such action of unilateral creating a new geopolitical state of affairs cannot be tolerated."
