The Greek government has launched "Exoikonomo 2025," a new program aimed at improving energy efficiency in homes across the country.
The initiative, part of Greece's broader sustainability strategy, will provide funding for energy-saving renovations and upgrades.
"We are enabling thousands of households to upgrade their homes, reduce energy bills, improve their living conditions, and contribute to the goal of green transition," said Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
With a total budget of €434 million, "Exoikonomo 2025" will fund projects that achieve significant energy savings, requiring participating homes to improve their energy efficiency by at least three categories.
Applications for the program are being accepted online until March 20th, 2025. Homeowners can apply through the official platform, exoikonomo2025.gov.gr.
This initiative is expected to have a significant impact on household energy consumption and costs, while also contributing to Greece's efforts to achieve its climate goals.
By promoting energy-efficient renovations and sustainable practices, "Exoikonomo 2025" represents a key step towards a greener and more resilient future for Greece.
