Greece secured a dramatic 93-89 overtime victory against the Czech Republic on Friday to qualify for EuroBasket 2025.
Vasilis Toliopoulos hit a game-tying three-pointer with two seconds left in regulation to force overtime, then scored back-to-back threes in the extra period to lead Greece to victory.
Toliopoulos finished with 26 points and was named MVP of the game.
Ioannis Papapetrou added 23 points and 7 rebounds for Greece, while Georgios Papagiannis contributed 10 points and 9 rebounds.
Ondrej Balvin led the Czech Republic with 19 points and 8 rebounds.
Greece led by 13 points in the first quarter, but the Czech Republic rallied to take a 40-37 lead at halftime. Greece regained the lead in the third quarter, but the fourth quarter was a back-and-forth battle.
With the win, Greece improved to 4-1 in Group F and clinched a spot in the EuroBasket 2025 finals, which will be held in Cyprus, Latvia, Poland, and Finland from August 27 to September 14.
Greece will play its final qualifying game against the Netherlands on Monday.
