A significant step towards easing travel restrictions between Europe and China has been announced.
Starting October 15, citizens of Greece, Cyprus, Portugal, and Slovenia will be able to enjoy visa-free travel to China.
The pilot program, which will run until December 31, 2025, allows for visits of up to two weeks. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the news in a statement released on Monday.
The visa-free policy is expected to boost tourism, business, and cultural exchanges between the countries involved. With direct flights connecting Athens to Beijing and Shanghai, it will be more convenient than ever for Greek citizens to explore China's rich history and vibrant culture.
The move is a positive development for both Europe and China, as it facilitates people-to-people contact and strengthens bilateral relations.
