Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, Thanasis Kontogeorgis, stated that revenue from the beach's tourism operations will primarily benefit the local community, with portions allocated to environmental agencies and the Ministry of Finance.

Restoration works, overseen by the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF), are expected to begin in early 2025.

Beyond the Navagio Beach transfer, the government unveiled plans for infrastructure improvements, including port deepening, waste management enhancements, and other essential initiatives. Additionally, a series of financial grants totaling €20 million was announced for local projects and initiatives.

HRADF will also update the Master Plan and conduct the Strategic Environmental Impact Study (SEIS) for the port deepening project, which will commence immediately. A request for licensing a floating marina was submitted, aiming for operation by summer.
