Minister of National Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis had a telephone conversation with Eurogroup President and Irish Finance Minister Pascal Donohoe on Thursday.
Pierrakakis and Donohoe exchanged views on the macroeconomic outlook and international challenges and discussed agenda items for the next Eurogroup and ECOFIN meetings, which will take place on 11-12 April in Warsaw.
They referred to the economic performance of the Eurozone, the funding of increased defence needs and the advancement of the digital aspects of monetary policy.
Pierrakakis referred to the upgrade of the Greek economy by Moody's and stressed that Greece will fully respect its commitments on surpluses, debt reduction and primary spending. He underlined that a commitment to fiscal stability and reforms is the basis for the promotion of growth policies that will lead to an improvement in the standard of living of Greek citizens.
