An elderly woman was arrested in the town of Krestena, Ilia, after being accused of animal abuse.
The 86-year-old woman was caught dragging a dog with her pickup truck along the road leading to Ancient Olympia. The dog, tied with a rope, was injured in the incident.
The police arrested the woman, who claimed she was unaware the dog had fallen out of the back of the truck. Following the incident, the woman became unwell due to shock and was taken to the General Hospital of Pyrgos. She remains under guard while receiving medical care.
