The government's response to the impeachment motion submitted by Alexis Tsipras came directly from Yiannis Economou.
"Tsipras, seeing his political appeal declining and the political future of his area becoming doubtful, is attempting a move designed to impress, which is, however completely predictable," government spokesperson Yiannis Economou said on Thursday.
"During the parliamentary process that is envisaged, what each side expresses and what it serves will be thrown into stark relief. It will be a prime opportunity for a comprehensive discussion on all issues. A debate in which citizens will have another opportunity to hear about the economy, the protection of the country, health, the rule of law, digital transformation, security, crisis management and much more. They will hear about the performance of this government, which Mr. Tsipras is asking to leave," he added.
