The Prosecutor filed criminal charges for serious felonies regarding the double murder of Turkish nationals by their compatriots, as well as the injury of a third person, in Glyfada, on Monday morning.
The individual alleged to have carried out the execution and his accomplice were presented before the Prosecutor on Tuesday afternoon. The perpetrators were apprehended in connection with the fatal ambush in Ano Glyfada, during which they opened fire, killing two of their compatriots and injuring another, who is currently hospitalized but out of danger.
The prosecution concerns murder in a calm mental state, jointly committed and in an attempt in succession, instigation to the above act, illegal possession and use of weapons.
The evidence in the case file indicates that the armed men entered a store in Ano Glyfada and opened fire on three men of Turkish descent, who attempted to escape by exiting the store and running. The perpetrators pursued them and opened fire with a hail of bullets.
The case will be taken over by an investigating judge, who will hear testimony from the defendants.
