A 68-year-old Canadian motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a truck on Sunday afternoon in Ilia, Greece.
The accident occurred at approximately 2:45 PM on National Road 111, one kilometer after Panopoulo, as the motorcyclist was traveling with a group of other foreign bikers towards Divri.
According to initial reports from ilialive.gr, the impact of the collision was fatal. Despite the rapid response of police, firefighters, and an ambulance from the National Emergency Aid Center (EKAV), paramedics were unable to save the motorcyclist's life.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the tragic accident. No further details have been released regarding the identity of the victim or the truck driver involved.
