The Greek Development Ministry has fined four more companies a total of €610,000 for misleading advertising during the Black Friday sales on November 29th.

This brings the total number of companies penalized for breaking discount rules to 14, with fines reaching €2.2 million.

A women's fashion chain, A.X.F., received the largest fine of €400,000. Two online pharmacies, ToFarmakeioMou and Pharmacy Discount, were also fined €100,000 and €55,000 respectively. Trade Status, a children's clothing company, was also fined €55,000.

The ministry used a new digital tool to identify these violations, demonstrating the government's commitment to protecting consumers from deceptive practices.

The crackdown sends a clear message to businesses that they will be held accountable for misleading advertising, especially during major sales events like Black Friday.

The ministry has vowed to continue inspections to ensure fair pricing and transparency in the marketplace.
