The project for the complete digitalization of the audit work of the National Transparency Authority is on track for implementation.
More specifically, it concerns the procurement or development of an Integrated Information System (IIS) and an artificial intelligence tool which is implemented by the Information Society (IS) and aims to digitally support the work of the Authority's Inspectors - Auditors.
Stavros Asthenidis, CEO of the IS, told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency that "artificial intelligence (AI) can play a decisive role in strengthening the audit work of the National Transparency Authority (NTA), through the implementation of advanced techniques and tools that allow for the more effective detection and prevention of corruption and mismanagement phenomena. The integration of artificial intelligence can play a decisive role in strengthening the audit work of the National Transparency Authority. The application of modern advanced methodology in the daily operation of the National Transparency Authority can transform the field of combating corruption and improving public administration, offering more reliable, faster and more accurate audits. In the modern era, the adoption of these technologies is essential to enhance transparency and accountability in the public sector.
The procedures that will be covered by the operation of the information system are as follows:
1. Management and evaluation of complaints.
2. Management of Audits.
3. Asset Audits.
4. Allocation process.
5. Supervision of the implementation of proposals and recommendations and the search for disciplinary responsibilities.
6. Monitoring of Audit Work.
7. Management of Prosecutions.
8. Monitoring of Disciplinary Procedure.
9. Conducting a Sworn Administrative Examination.
