The eighth week of the acclaimed "All Greece, One Culture" program promises a vibrant tapestry of cultural experiences, showcasing ten new performances and events at some of the country's most treasured historical sites.
Through August , audiences across Greece will be treated to a diverse range of music, theater, dance, and activities for children and teenagers, all exploring this year's theme of "Conflict."
The week commences with the musical performance "The Amazing Story of Khorkhor Aga," composed by Apostolis Koutsogiannis, at the Polychoro Politismou Islachane.
Music lovers can also enjoy "BALKANIA," featuring Abagar Quartet, Isokratisses, and Lot Kurbeti, at the Hellenistic Theater of Dion, and "Mortissa and Alanis," curated by Evgenios Voulgaris, at the Ancient Theater of Aptera.
Meanwhile, young audiences will be captivated by the children's and teenagers' performance "Rob & Krus" by Patari Project at the Castle of Mytilene.
The program continues with the evocative musical performance "To the City – Istanbul" by the in excelsis music group at the Archaeological Museum of Eretria, and the children's and teenagers' show "The Art of War" at the Xenokratis Archaeological Museum of Messolonghi.
The week culminates with two exceptional events: "Touching Faultlines," a two-day exploration of contemporary artistic practices at the Roman Odeon of Gortyna, and the musical work "Song on the Earth" at Agios Achilleios in Prespa.
The theatrical performance "PLITS PLATS PLUTS" will grace the Castle of Saint George in Kefalonia, while the children's and teenagers' performance "When the Statues Left" will be presented at the Archaeological Site of Corinth.
This culturally rich week, presented free of charge by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, invites audiences to engage with Greece's artistic heritage and contemplate the complexities of conflict through a variety of artistic lenses.
