Grief and anger consume Agrinio as the community grapples with the brutal murder of a 43-year-old mother of three.
T.N. was allegedly shot and killed by her former partner, A.S., 30, who remains at large.
The attack occurred Sunday evening on Papagianni Street.
Police discovered T.N. critically wounded beside her car. Before losing consciousness, she reportedly identified her attacker. Despite desperate attempts to save her life, she died in the hospital.
A.S. fled the scene, prompting an intense manhunt. His vehicle was later found abandoned near Myrtia village, where authorities believe he may be hiding. Concerns remain that he is armed and dangerous, with knowledge of the local terrain.
Adding to the tragedy, T.N. had filed a domestic violence complaint against A.S. in September. Restraining orders were issued, and his firearms were confiscated, but this proved insufficient to protect her. He continued to harass T.N., posting chilling messages on social media, despite a court hearing scheduled for November 15th.
The devastating femicide has sparked national outrage and renewed calls for stronger protections for victims of domestic violence.
