The 39-year-old man arrested on Friday in Athens along with his partner for transporting explosives and a gun in their vehicle, has been remanded in custody following his testimony.
His partner was released after her testimony, under the condition that she reports to the Police Station once a month.
The 39-year-old of Albanian origin, claimed that he had the gun and bullets for his protection due to an old vendetta. However, he denied any connection to the explosives, reportedly stating that they belonged to someone else and that he believed the package contained bullets.
His partner denied any involvement with the discovered items, stating that she saw them for the first time when police found them.
