The trial of Greece’s extreme-right Golden Dawn party, held at the high-security Korydallos prison in Athens, was adjourned amid high tension as during the hearing anarchists broke through the doors, entered the courtroom and attacked journalists.
The defendants include the leadership and all MPs elected with Golden Dawn in the previous Greek parliament who were arrested on charges of founding and participating in a criminal organization after the fatal stabbing of anti-fascist rapper Pavlos Fyssas in 2013 by a party supporter. The politicians deny the charges.
